There aren't many opportunities you can have out there to come up to Alaska. And not only have adventure and all the beauty, but also like, dive in to your hopes and fears and dreams and build that the friendships.
I mean, I would say like, what else is worth it, you know, you have to take the chance and do something totally different. And if you're intrigued at all, then that's that little spark that you need to just commit and do it.
The uniqueness about this week adventure and group gathering was just there's an automatic safe feeling. And we were all here to grow or expand and the stage was set with the agreements. And so it was automatically a safe place. We knew we could share we knew we could ask and we knew it was about giving and receiving.
The I wonder exercise was the best thing ever. If I put everything all of my thoughts in my goals, but then my, my holdouts, and all the staff, and you put it on paper, and it's just like, those are just words on a piece of paper. And those are just thoughts of doubt, we hold ourselves back, or we go down a rabbit hole of all the reasons why we can't do things.
But I have so much like the, “oh, I just couldn't ever do that”. But that's the same thing I said about chiropractic school. When I got fired for my job, as a CA, he said she doesn't want to work for a doctor, she wants to be the doctor. And that was kind of like ding! ut I could never help own my own business. That's exactly what I said, I can never own my own business.
And so when we look at the ability to look back at when were the times I showed up and said yes, like, oh, I could keep doing that, you know, it doesn't matter how many knows, as long as that drive is still there. That's the big thing, after this week with the dreams and seeing and it doesn't mean it doesn't have to be the birth center. But it doesn't. It doesn't have to not be it just because it's scary sounding. Because it's a possibility. And it just that everything is the possibility. And I just have to look at it and and when it's something that just keeps coming back to me over and over again. And I'm doing myself and everyone a disservice if I don't just take the steps, the action steps to see it through was really inspiring.
You know, just why not? Why not say yes. The difference with this week, I think there's a couple of different things that make it successful. The length of time is helpful, because knowing that there's the playful times and that everyone's challenged, and then there's the downtimes but it really comes down to how it was led.
And it was led by you (Barbara), your guidance through the week, that makes the big difference. Because we can all get together and I've definitely been around people and we all discuss all the things that aren't working really good with no context or how to reframe it or Okay, of course we all have trials and tribulations and different things. And we could all talk about software and charting and all that and then just make ourselves so negative. And it this week and being with you in the mastermind is really a transformation and the ability to look at the little things and see what those lessons teach us as well.
Sharing Alaska so much fun and just that I took for granted some of the little things I really enjoyed it because I did adventures that I've never done I've never been out to connect glacier and I've never been on a charter boat and and I fish a lot but it's it was totally different and because every single thing adventure that we did that was part of the experience and watching how people showed up. I mean it was so worth it. I mean I would do it all the time.
